Our Services
LOCATION
Based in the Hunters Hill Locality in the suburb of Gladesville, we provide architectural and interior design services for the Sydney metropolitan area.
ARCHITECTURE
We provide architectural services with an expertise in complex development applications (DA’s). With over 30 years of experience, we have developed a refined set of architectural skills to celebrate our designs.
PLANNING
We have developed a forensic-based analytical process to ensure our designs are considered on their merits and assessed objectively. Our appreciation of the nuances within the DA process provides us with a clear approach to achieve a successful outcome for our clients.
INTERIOR DESIGN
We believe good architecture is the seamless connection between interiors and the exterior elements of the dwelling. We aim to enhance and create interior spaces to be enjoyed within the built environment. Here at Studio JLA, we work closely with our clients to understand their lifestyle and functional requirements, which allows us to design bespoke architectural joinery and interiors that improves the way of life for our clients.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT / CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
During the construction phase, the architect plays a pivotal role in ensuring the building is constructed according to the architectural and interior plans and specifications. This includes regular site visits, reviewing and approving the work of contractors, and managing any changes to the plan.
LEC APPEALS
The LEC (Land Environment Court) appeal process may be considered an alternative development approval process to the Council DA application or CDC approval process. The decision to seek approval via the LEC process might be due to the complexity of planning issues or Council position inconsistent with its own planning controls and instruments. We have assisted various legal teams and town planners to provide architectural services to address contentions to the relevant planning instruments, such as the Council’s DCP & LEP. Our role is to provide the analytical documentation and design options to address contentions, to provide authorities with the concise information to make their determination.
