‘A CONTEMPORARY CLASSIC’ IN STRATHFIELD

We like to thank our client for opening their home for us to take some great photos of our project in Strathfield. We also like to thank Michael Nicholson for another great photo session capturing the space and light that is captured in this residence. The split level configuration and double storey voids allow the light to pass throughout the residence to create a relaxed environment with contemporary appeal.

ANGULAR FORMED CONTEMPORARY RESIDENCE

Our residence in Eastwood has been a challenge in dealing with a series of site constraints including sewer and storm water pipes and being located in the flood zone. The design has been designed in direct response to the sites constraints with its angular design. The central courtyard and angular roof form provides ample light and a outdoor space above the existing flood levels.

BALMAIN RESIDENCE – FEATURED IN HOUZZ

studioJLA have been featured in an online article created by Houzz who have over a million follower’s worldwide. This article discusses how Built-in joinery can take your home to the next level. We designed the ‘Rooms that adapt’, our clients brief was to have a home office without having to sacrifice a bedroom. We created a built-in hideaway bed that is easily accessible.

 

This allows our clients to have guests stay without the hassle of setting up a bed. In one simple step by pulling down the bed a ‘bedroom’ is created. Simply lift the bed up and it folds easily back into the wall space creating the ‘home office’. Cupboards and shelving have been incorporated on each side of the bed space to maximise the use and function of this adaptable room.

Gladesville House

Our project in Gladesville provided an opportunity for client and architect to work in collaboration to design the proposed additions to an existing Californian bungalow with each decision based on its sustainability.
