As the Founder and Director of Studio JLA, Justin has over 20 years of experience in both domestic and commercial architecture. Throughout his career, he has worked for some of Sydney’s most prominent and leading Architects; including Luigi Rosselli Architects and Turner & Associates, where he was privileged enough to work on some of Sydney’s most distinctive and prestigious properties. Justin is the creative master and is responsible for the schematic design and oversees all projects within the office. In his spare time, he is a passionate skier, loves fishing and spending time with his family.

Ecole Nationale Scuperieure d’Archtiecture de Bretagne

Aurore is a French architect graduating with Distinction at Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture de Bretagne, Rennes-France. Her experience overseas includes working for Atelier Christian Hauvette & Lionel Dunet Architecte in Paris working on a number of residential and social house projects and competitions. Her work experience includes working with award-winning Buzacott-Webber Architects and her accomplishments included creating A Nous de Jouer Studio, a platform for architects to provide architectural advice. Her passion for architecture began since she was 5 years old and has a keen eye for interior design and architectural detailing.

EMMA NEVILLE
Project Leader

With a Masters from the Bartlett School of Architecture London, Emma returned to Sydney in 2006 and worked with renowned architect Peter Stutchbury, including the ‘Invisible House’ which was awarded House of the Year in 2014. Emma’s breadth of knowledge of materials and construction, combined with her extensive experience in the design and documentation of high-end residential homes, ensures her client’s outcomes exceed expectations. Outside StudioJLA, Emma practices Japanese yoga, which continues to strengthen her mind and body.

YASAWINI (YASH) CHATHURVEDULA
Senior Designer

Yash came to Australia in 2018 where she completed her Masters at the University of Sydney and grew a passion for contemporary, yet sustainable design. Prior to joining us, she gained experience in both residential and large-scale commercial buildings and completed her Bachelor of Architecture in India. At Studio JLA, she has developed a strong foundation in design and documentation of our projects. She has a passion for design and bringing our sketch ideas into fruition via her 3D visualisation skills. 

CAMERON BEARD
Senior Designer

Cameron is a passionate team member with a personable and proactive character and is driven to see projects delivered to a high level of quality. He completed a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney and has previously worked on high end residential projects with a focus on heritage items at Borg Architects. He loves a good challenge and believes by working with the team at StudioJLA, it allows him to tackle complex tasks and continually push himself in both design and interiors. He works to thoroughly understand our client’s brief and ensures a good balance between design and construction is achieved. In his spare time, you can find Cameron with his tap shoes on, or writing choreography for stage shows.

MARISSA PANG
Project / Studio Manager

Marissa is a personable and friendly manager that comes with over 20 years of experience as a marketing executive in both small and large corporations such as Westpac and the Defence Force. Her role at StudioJLA is the development of best practices in Architecture and Interior Design, to ensure our clients receive the best experience for their project. Outside of the office, you will find Marissa cooking up a storm for her friends and family.

AARON HU
Marketing & Administration

Aaron is completing his final year of his Bachelor of Design at the University of Technology Sydney. With a passion in film photography, he has a keen eye for design and detail and gains inspiration from Japanese architects such as Sou Fujimoto for his clean lines and selection of materials. Aaron is involved in marketing, project management and office administration. During his weekends when he isn’t busy studying, you are likely to find Aaron on the volleyball court with his friends.
