Working closely with our client, this project resulted in a major alteration and additions to an existing California Bungalow located on Batemans Rd, Gladesville. The double storey split level extension provides a contemporary yet comfortable environment designed on sustainable design principals. The residence relies on natural air flow, shade and light with no mechanical ventilation. The proposal takes a passive sustainable techniques such as reverse brick construction to provide high thermal mass and deep eaves to provide shade in summer.
